I have had the pleasure of knowing Jon personally for a few years and I am thrilled this book is reaching so many people.
We live in a society where we are constantly being told no and saying no ourselves when it comes to things we want. Jon really is proof that if you want something bad enough and put your mindset that way, then there are no limits to what you can accomplish.
One of the great things about this book is Jon shows you his kinks in the armour right off the bat. Jon shows us how he turned his negative way of thinking into a turning point in his life.
I see Jon at a few conferences a year and one of the great things to watch is how students are so relaxed and comfortable talking to Jon about something scary... their future.
The book points out that you really have to respect yourself, your surroundings and treat people how you would want to be treated. In Jon's case that is like a Rockstar. It may sound cliche but when you read some of the stories, you'll realize that you don't have to be someone famous to really make a difference in someone's life as well as your own.
The book is great and I must say that seeing Jon is an even better experience. Just look at his tour schedule for companies and colleges throughout the country.
Only buy if your a freshman who doesn't use common since, or doesn't listen to what their professors and advisors say.
Love this book!! Bought it after seeing him speak and he is super motivating and inspirational! Definitely a must read!
This book is absolutely phenomenal!!! Once I started reading it I just couldn't put it down! And though Im not a college student I still gathered a wealth of knowledge to apply to the real world! Some of which Ive heard before and have lacked application, but was reminded by this book how simple it is to take life to the next level!! Thank you Jon Vroman and contributing students!!! From this point further I will be living my life in the FRONT ROW!!!

This book has some great thoughts and stories about seizing the day and making the most out of life. It is most definitely written with college students in mind, but the lessons remain the same no matter how old you are.
Reading was a little disjointed, and the author's comments came and went among many brief stories from outside contributors. I would have liked to see fewer stories with more analysis/discussion involved.
Still definitely recommend this book!
This book didn't need to be written. It's basic knowledge that if your students are in college (this coming from a college student), please don't make them read it or take it seriously. That's not to say that there aren't good points in this book, it's just that no college kid would take it seriously. It reads like it's mean for kids way younger who are preparing to go to college,not those in it.
